Gear Sponsors

This is a list of my gracious gear sponsors who sacrificed thier time and money to make my trip possible. Most of the people I worked with were top notch on customer service and knowledge about their gear.

Valley Kayaks: I am honored to say that I will be paddling this entire trip in a Valley kayak. Founded in Britian in the 1970's, Valley has been developing and producing some of the finest kayaks on the market. I hope to be a pioneer for them on the Mississippi.

Kokatat: On the premier of the kayak outfitting world, Kokatat offers a wide aray of quality PFD's, Dry Suits, and other essential paddling attire.  They have answered my call for support with a Pro-Deal on their entire stock.

Headsweat: An excellent company that jumped at the oppurtunity to provide me with all of my headwear needs for my entire trip. From cocona beanies to headbands, they sent me more hats than my big head can fill.

Sawyer Paddles: "Shaggy" at Sawyer Paddles and I met at Canoeacopia this year, and he made me a deal on one of the prettiest paddles on the market, as far as I'm concerned. I will be pulling myself down the river with a 215cm, carbon fiber, crank, V-Lam Orca.

Malone: Providing safety and security for my kayak as I strap it atop my automobile as I drive to my next paddling destination.

Cascade Designs: The parent company of many of my favorite outdoor companies (MSR, Platypus, Thermarest, Tracks, and Seal Line,) Cascade Designs has put my mind at ease with their support on discounted gear.

Chaco: Chaco sent me a pair of their finest sandals to guarantee that my feet looked and felt great throughout the trip.

CameraPacker: Pam at CameraPacker became a sponsor and filled a vital role in the way I was going to wear my camera on this trip.  Her harness system will simplify the clumsy setup I used before to keep my camera safe but accessible.
